About this resource

This risk assessment tool developed by the Queensland Government takes you through the four-step process for managing psychosocial risks in your workplace:

  1. Identify hazards.
  2. Assess risks.
  3. Control risks.
  4. Review control measures.

To use the tool, read the statements and tick ‘yes’ to any you agree with. There is also space to include additional information that may be useful to assess risk.

The tool covers the common psychosocial hazards, e.g. high job demands, low job control, poor communication, workplace conflict, and violent and traumatic events. You can also consider other risk factors that are unique to your organisation. You can add these factors to the ‘additional factors’ sections of the tool.
