Tool 3: Example RFT Template

You can use this template to prepare a request for tender. Sections to enter your organisation’s details and requirements are highlighted in yellow. 

The document sets out:

• summary of key information
• introduction
• the opportunity and objectives for the procurement
• RFT overview, including timeline and milestones, process outline, evaluation criteria, conditions and advice
• Response instructions, including intention to tender, clarification and enquiries, lodgement instructions, closing time and late tenders, and modifications to tenders
• definitions
• placeholders for attachments (e.g. non-disclosure agreement, statement of requirement, draft contract, tender response forms).
