About this resource

Employers have obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 to eliminate or minimise psychosocial risks so far as is reasonably practicable. This model Code of Practice provides practical guidance on how to manage psychosocial hazards at work. It covers:

  • what are psychosocial hazards at work
  • common psychosocial hazards and how to identify them
  • how to assess psychosocial risks and implementing control measures
  • recording the risk management process and outcomes.

Your jurisdiction needs to approve the model code for it to have legal effect. Check with your regulator to find out if it has been approved in your jurisdiction.
