About this resource

The transition into roles that require managing others is not an easy one, and leaders are typically underprepared for, and under-supported during, this transition. Challenges for leaders and managers include imposter syndrome, identity changes, managing work relationships, feeling like a novice again and decision fatigue.

This guide outlines ways organisations can support people transitioning into leadership roles, and things these workers can do to support themselves.

The case study outlines the Leadership and Management Program developed and implemented by professional services firm RSM Australia. It includes tips and advice for others.
