Code of Practice – Work health and safety consultation, cooperation and coordination (Australian Capital Territory)

This is the ACT’s approved Code of Practice for consulting with workers and cooperating and coordinating with other duty holders on work health and safety matters. It provides practical guidance for employers on how to meet the requirements set out in the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act). It applies to all workplaces covered by the WHS Act.

It provides guidance on:

• when to consult with workers
• what is effective consultation
• how to consult with workers
• when to consult, cooperate and coordinate activities with other duty holders
• what is effective consultation with other duty holders.
