About this resource

The Code of Practice outlines the responsibilities of people who have duties under the NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and WHS Regulations:

  • persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) (usually an employer or business)
  • officers of a PCBU (e.g. company director)
  • workers
  • other persons (e.g. visitor or customer).

Under the NSW WHS Act, psychosocial hazards must be managed as far as is reasonably practicable. This Code of Practice explains what psychosocial hazards are and how you can identify and manage them at work.

The code applies to all work and workplaces covered by the NSW WHS Act.
