About this resource

This strategy introduces a new approach to delivering mental health programs and services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

There are 5 action areas and outcomes:

  1. Action area 1 – Strengthen the foundations
  2. Action area 2 – Promote wellness
  3. Action area 3 – Build capacity and resilience in people and groups at risk
  4. Action area 4 – Provide care for people who are mildly or moderately ill
